Case Studies - British Airways T5

‘All the time in the world’ is a 22m Electroluminescent wall that was designed by Troika and produced by EL International for British Airways in Heathrow Terminal 5. This marks the entrance to the British Airways First Class and Business Class lounges.

Hanging on rails behind tinted glass are 104 paper thin EL panels. There are 4 large clock panels which tell the time in the UK, whilst the remaining 100 smaller panels either tell the time or spell out different Capitals and landmarks all around the world. The clever design of the font makes it look as if the letters are being written and are floating across the panels.

Bespoke drivers were engineered to independently control all 7000 illuminated segments and amazingly the whole wall only consumes a power consumption of 700W.

Due to the quality of our EL panels, EL International were approached to produce this innovative display system which is the first of its kind.
